Education Support Professionals Day

Education Support Professionals Day occurs as part of the National Education Association's 89th annual American Education Week celebration, November 14–20, 2010. Also known as National Educational Support Professionals Day, Education Support Professionals Day is on Wednesday, November 17, 2010.

According to the National Education Association (NEA), Education Support Professionals Day was first celebrated in 1987, after NEA's Representative Assembly called for the creation of a way to honor the contributions of school support staff. The celebration focuses on the importance of school employees who take care of students every day. Take this opportunity to thank education support professionals - secretaries, custodians, cafeteria workers, bus drivers, and so many others - for their tremendous contributions to our school communities.
