Teacher Appreciation Day 2011

Teacher Appreciation Day 2011 occurs on Tuesday of the first full week of May in the United States. Also known as National Teacher Day, Teacher Appreciation Day 2011 is on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.

The entire week is known as Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2 - May 6, 2011). Outside the U.S., many other country celebrate Teacher Appreciation every October 5, World Teacher's Day.

Popular Google searches for the holiday include teacher appreciation ideas, teacher appreciation gifts, teacher appreciation certificates, teacher appreciation event, teacher appreciation party, teacher appreciation banquet, and other similar searches.

According to the National Education Association (NEA) website, Congress declared March 7, 1980, as National Teacher Day - but for that one year only. NEA continued to unofficially celebrate the day every March, until the NEA Representative Assembly voted to change the event to Tuesday of the first full week of May beginning in 1985.

Funny Student Awards

I'm often asked if our collection of Funny Teacher Award certificates can be used as Funny Student Awards? The answer is a resounding yes!

Education Support Professionals Day 2010

Education Support Professionals Day 2010 occurs as part of the National Education Association's 89th annual American Education Week celebration, November 14–20, 2010. Also known as National Educational Support Professionals Day, Education Support Professionals Day is on Wednesday, November 17, 2010.

According to the National Education Association (NEA), Education Support Professionals Day was first celebrated in 1987, after NEA's Representative Assembly called for the creation of a way to honor the contributions of school support staff. The celebration focuses on the importance of school employees who take care of students every day. Teacher Appreciation Week 2010

Teacher Appreciation Week 2010 occurs on the first full week of May in the United States. Teacher Appreciation Day 2010, also known as National Teacher Day 2010, is on Tuesday, May 4, 2010. According to Wikipedia, the state of Massachusetts adopted September 11 as Teachers' Day back in 1976, and still sets the first Sunday of June as its own Teachers’ Day. However, the National Education Association and the National PTA recognize Teacher Appreciation Week as the first full week of May, annually.
